Manish Raj Gupta, MD, William Murtagh, MD, Alanna Rebecca, MD, and Fadi Chahin, MD.

Background: Oncocytomas are benign salivary gland tumors accounting for 1% of all salivary gland tumors. Their occurrence in patients under the age of fourty is extremely rare.

Method: We present the case of a thirty-eight year-old white male who underwent superficial parotidectomy for oncocytoma. A review of the literature was performed.

Conclusion: Oncocytoma represents a rare salivary gland tumor and a review of the literature suggests that excision with negative margins is imperative in order to prevent reccurrence.
